Collagen - The corset of the skin
Collagen is a structural protein and, at 60 percent, is an essential component of all connective tissue, i.e. structures such as cartilage, tendons, ligaments, bones, skin, mucous membranes, etc., whose health and functionality seem to be becoming increasingly important, and not just for sporting performance. All of these connective tissue structures are directly or indirectly necessary for smooth muscle work, ie for the conversion of muscle contraction into kinetic energy.
In the human body, collagen is the most common protein, measured by the total weight of all proteins, as it accounts for over 30 percent. Our skin layers are made up of 90 percent of this structural protein. One of the functions of collagen is to cushion the contours of the face and body.
However, as we get older - from around the age of 25 - collagen production decreases and the quality of the collagen fibers changes for the worse. This can manifest itself in, among other things, increased, visible wrinkles, joint surfaces become thinner and tendons and ligaments become less resilient, which in turn can have consequences for the mobility and stability of the joints and thus for the entire musculoskeletal system.
An additional supplement with our liquid-filled collagen softgels can help to compensate for these negative developments. We deliberately use the high-quality hydrolyzed collagen so that - due to its smaller peptide structure - it can be more easily absorbed by the body and therefore has a higher bioavailability than normal collagen.
Recommended intake: 3 softgels daily (preferably on an empty stomach) with plenty of liquid, unchewed
Package contents (216g): 100 daily portions
